'PSG Star Ousmane Dembele Reveals Retirement Plans at 34 to Pursue Property Business'
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Ousmane Dembele has revealed his ambitious plans after retiring from football at the age of 34, with a focus on entering the real-estate business.
In a recent podcast interview with Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni and Barcelona's Jules Kounde during their episode on ESN Media – The Bridge, Dembele expressed his desire to retire by 2028. He plans to invest in Africa and France after hanging up his boots.
"It is clear that when I eventually retire from the sport, which I aim to do before turning 34, I want to get into the property business. Invest in Africa, in France," Dembele said, as reported by GOAL.
The French international has had a mixed debut season at PSG, despite scoring six goals and providing 14 assists across all competitions last year. However, he has been in top form for his current team in the ongoing 2024/25 season, netting five goals and contributing seven assists in 13 appearances.
PSG coach Luis Enrique explained why Dembele was absent from their recent UEFA Champions League match against Arsenal in a press conference. Not wanting to compromise his team's performance, Enrique stated that he left him out as a measure of ensuring the players' readiness for an important match.
The French forward recently made history with PSG by being left out of the team due to a clash between expectations and respect, citing Enrique added in relation "I am here to create a team and potentially include Ousmanle Dembele into it."
Dembele was also absent from France's last international matches which were affected when he suffered with injuries. The player has made an effort to recover and is expected to return to action on November 23 against Toulouse.
