Prominent Indian Industrialists Cast Their Votes for Maharashtra Assembly Elections
Mumbai, Wednesday - A slew of prominent Indian industrialists, including the Reserve Bank of India's Governor Shaktikanta Das and notable figures from the financial services sector, exercised their right to vote in Mumbai on Wednesday for the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
According to eyewitnesses, Das accompanied by his wife visited a polling booth near his official residence in South Mumbai and was praised by election officials for the efficient arrangements. The RBI Governor also cast an encouraging glance at all those who were eagerly waiting nearby.
The industrial elite of India also joined hands with their fellow citizens to cast their ballots in this very same election, sending out positive vibes to make voting process smooth and painless for everyone present there - be it any person or anyone including their wives.
"Despite the massive incentives provided by our government such as a public holiday we saw very few people casting their votes in today's elections," said renowned industrialist Deepak Parekh from HDFC.
As concerns are being raised regarding low voter turnout in Mumbai, former chairman of HDFC urged citizens to take part in the democratic process which benefits everybody. As reported by PTI, Parekh, is quite surprised with a low turnout which should be very concerning considering the immense amount that people save over a year and can easily cast off this burden.
Keki Mistry - who also voted for his country's prosperity said "It does require hard work and determination but only if we make use of such opportunities available."
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran encouraged each citizen not to pass up the opportunity by participating in elections. According to him this is a great way through which every individual gets an opportunity to change India's future.
Another prominent businessman, Ajit Piramal shared the importance of exercising one’s right and thus voted with his spouse Swati near them at home where they have been enjoying all sorts of things after working so much hard for their families throughout the years - making them the proud parents of a grand child who was born to one daughter.
As it can also be seen from a couple of other sources such industrialists that came out in support for this election were Gautam Singhania of the Raymond group, Ajit Gulabchand and HCC also casted their ballot within a short span.
The voting has now come to completion after several of our nation’s business leaders took part in the election.
