Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Charm Fades in America

Los Angeles has become the unlikely residence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but their luxurious lifestyle may not be enough to win back the favor of Americans.

The couple's former Hollywood appeal appears to have fizzled out, with many people now openly disapproving of them. Data from last August reveals that only 30 per cent of people hold a favorable opinion of Prince Harry, while 60 per cent are critical.

Insiders believe their falling out with the British royal family, particularly Queen Elizabeth II who passed away in September 2022, is to blame for their loss of popularity in America. The couple's harsh criticisms of the institution and their subsequent decision to step down from their royal duties have alienated them from many Americans.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are no longer considered "cool" figures in Hollywood, with many people losing interest in them after giving them too much credit over the years. According to Kinsey Schofield, an LA-based royal expert, most Americans don't care about Prince Harry's activities anymore and "it’s just like, what? We've bought or moved house 10, 12 times" - a reference to all the rumors surrounding their personal lives.

Prince Harry has also faced criticism for his charity work being overshadowed by Meghan's commercial interests. The couple has increasingly appeared at events separately, sparking speculation that they have "professionally separated".

Publicist Jane Owen describes the couple as having actively destroyed opportunities given to them in Hollywood, stating that "they were given every opportunity to shine... but they've done worse than nothing — they have actively destroyed the opportunities they were given."
