PM Modi's 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' Vision Inspired By Ambedkar: BJP Leader Chugh
Jammu, Dec 24 - A scathing criticism was unleashed on influential political dynasties by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Tarn Chugh in Jammu on December 24. In a statement, Chugh condemned the Abdullah and Gandhi families for "sullying the glorious image of Bhimrao Ambedkar" and subverting his ideals and plans.
Chugh directly attributed the damage to Ambedkar's reputation to former prime ministers Pt Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi. The BJP leader revealed that Nehru had intentionally destroyed Ambedkar's political career by ensuring his electoral defeat, disrupting his life, and altering the nation's Constitution during his term.
Subsequently, Chugh highlighted the subsequent attempts made by Indira Gandhi and her son Rajiv Gandhi to revise and distort Ambedkar's historic reservation policy. The BJP leader stated that they thwarted the actual intentions of the founding father for social equity.
Chugh asserted further that even today, Abdullah government is secretly plotting, in collaboration with dynastic interests, to snuff out the existing Dalit rights under the present democratic dispensation.
It is to be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently respected the principles and mission of Ambedkar. He acknowledges Ambedkar's contribution towards nation-building.
During an exclusive gathering for BJP workers in Jammu, Chugh urged party volunteers to construct strong grassroots networks across the state and highlighted what went amiss during the tenure of Abdullah government to strengthen public trust against corrupts governments.
Prime Minister's developmental policies should resonate with all segments of society regardless of geographical divisions – here in this region and elsewhere.
