PM Modi V virtually Participates in 200-Year Celebrations of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Gujarat's Vadtal

In a virtual address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 200th-anniversary celebrations of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Vadtal, Gujarat, warning that there is a growing conspiracy to divide society along caste, religion, language, and other lines.
The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of understanding this challenge and addressing it collectively. He stressed the importance of empowering youth, whom he described as the backbone of the country's development. He noted that the global demand for skilled Indian youth will increase in the coming years, and India needs to capitalize on its talent exports.
PM Modi also highlighted the nation's unity and integrity as critical factors to achieve India's goal of becoming a developed nation in the next 25 years. He invoked Lord Swaminarayan, who appeared at a time when the country was weakened after centuries of foreign rule.
The occasion is seen as proof of the eternal flow of Indian culture, with PM Modi noting the Government of India's initiatives to commemorate this milestone. The Prime Minister's remarks were delivered via video conference from his office in New Delhi.
"It has been a unique feature of India that whenever difficult times have come; a great sage or saint has appeared in that era," he said. "At that time, Lord Swaminarayan not only infused us with new spiritual energy but also awakened our self-respect."
The Prime Minister added that Shree Swaminarayan Mandir has become a major centre for serving humanity and building a better world.
