PM Modi, Trump, Putin, and China - Only These Four Matter at the World Level, Says KP Singh

In an exclusive interview with Moneycontrol, DLF's Chairman Emeritus, KP Singh, has stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and only four other leaders - US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Chinese President Xi Jinping - matter on the world forum. India is rapidly progressing and is poised to become the third largest economy in the world after the United States and China in the next few years.

Singh, who recently turned 95, believes that India's leadership plays a key role in this transformation and has changed the country's image globally. He praises Modi for being one of the top leaders that matter at the world level.

According to Singh, urban infrastructure in India is a major concern as it contributes to rising pollution and toxic air in the National Capital Region (NCR). He calls for "drastic measures" in master-planning as course correction and the replacement of "myopic thinking" with long-term planning.

On sustainable building practices, Singh believes that green buildings are the way forward and most of DLF's buildings incorporate such practices. The government is also doing well on this front, providing incentives to green buildings.

Singh advises young entrepreneurs to prioritize compliance with regulations, pay taxes, and let the market test their creations before cutting corners. He also stresses the importance of ethics and moral values in business philosophy.

Looking back, Singh's biggest achievement is winning over the confidence of farmers to buy land on payable when able basis, which has become a record in the world.
