PM Modi to Engage with 3000 Young Leaders at National Youth Day Celebration
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025 on Sunday at Bharat Mandapam, marking the occasion of National Youth Day commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
Modi, who is expected to address young leaders from across the country, described it as a tribute to India's youth power and a special day, the Jayanti of Swami Vivekananda. He stated that during the dialogue, he will engage in conversations and lunch with his young friends on topics aimed at building a Viksit Bharat.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue aims to break the 25-year-old tradition of holding the National Youth Festival in a conventional manner. This year's event aligns with Prime Minister Modi's Independence Day call to engage one lakh youth in politics without political affiliations and provide them a national platform to make their ideas for Viksit Bharat, a reality.
Young leaders participating in the dialogue will present innovative ideas and solutions on ten pivotal themes representing India's development. Modiji will also release a compilation of best essays written by participants on these themes.
The Prime Minister's visit is part of multiple activities designed to inspire, motivate, and empower the nation's future leaders. The young leaders have been selected through a merit-based process, Viksit Bharat Challenge, which saw participation of around 30 lakh youth minds in the first stage.
In-person competitions will also be held for the top candidates chosen from each theme, forming dynamic teams for the national event in Delhi. A total of 3000 participants from different tracks - Viksit Bharat Challenge Track, Traditional Track, and Pathbreakers - will participate in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue alongside Modiji.
The government hopes this initiative will bridge the gap between governance and youth aspirations, fostering a deeper sense of ownership and responsibility among participants.
