PM Modi to Commemorate National Youth Day with Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda by participating in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on January 12, 2025. This event marks a significant departure from the traditional National Youth Festival and is aimed at engaging young leaders from across the nation in discussions about shaping India’s future.

The dialogue will bring together 3,000 enthusiastic young leaders, who will engage with Prime Minister Modi to discuss innovative solutions to pressing challenges facing the country. The themes of discussion include technology, sustainability, women empowerment, manufacturing, and agriculture.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Modi will address the young leaders on the importance of youth involvement in shaping India’s future and inspire them to take an active role in creating a developed India. This initiative aligns with the Prime Minister's vision for a developed India and aims to empower the next generation of leaders.

The event also features various activities, competitions, and cultural presentations, providing a platform for young leaders to share their ideas, experiences, and aspirations directly with the Prime Minister. The dialogue marks a shift from tradition to innovation in the National Youth Festival format, which has been in place for 25 years.

Prime Minister Modi’s participation in the dialogue goes beyond a mere address, as he will join the young leaders for lunch, creating an informal setting for open dialogue. This unique opportunity allows participants to share their ideas and aspirations directly with the Prime Minister.

The Viksit Bharat Challenge, which was held earlier to select 3,000 participants for the dialogue, was designed to identify the most motivated young voices across the nation. The selection process was rigorous and merit-based, with over 30 lakh participants participating in the quarterly and essays being submitted by millions more.

This initiative reflects the rich tapestry of talent and innovation present in India today and aims to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration among the youth.
