PM Modi Receives Historic National Award from Nigeria Amid Global Recognition

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "popularity and strong leadership" after he received Nigeria's national award, the Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON), during his three-nation tour.

In a post on X, CM Dhami referred to the honor as "a proud moment for all of us Indians", expressing pride in PM Modi's achievement. He attributed this success to Modiji's effective and strong international leadership which has given global relations a new direction. This is India's 17th international award received by PM Modi under the foreign dignitary category.

Nigeria honored PM Modi with GCON during his visit, marking him as the second foreign dignitary to receive this prestigious honor after Queen Elizabeth in 1969. This follows PM Modi's successful conclusion of his first-ever three-nation tour visiting Nigeria, Brazil, and Guyana from November 17 to November 21.

In Dehradun, CM Dhami expressed his happiness over the recognition and acknowledged that the honors received are a testament to Modiji's international popularity and his steadfast vision for global unity. With this, PM Modi solidifies his legacy as an effective leader recognized globally for his diplomatic prowess.
