Only PM Modi, Trump, Putin and China Matter on the World Forum, Says DLF's Chairman Emeritus KP Singh

Mumbai, December [Date]: The Indian economy is rapidly progressing and is poised to become the world's third-largest economy in the next few years, according to Kushal Pal Singh, Chairman Emeritus of DLF. In an exclusive interview with Moneycontrol, Singh praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him one of the four top leaders that matter globally.

Singh, who recently turned 95, credited India's leadership for changing the country's image on a global level and said PM Modi is playing a key role in this transformation. Alongside President Vladimir Putin of Russia, US President Donald Trump, and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Singh believes only these four leaders have significant influence worldwide.

Referring to India's rapid growth, Singh stated that it is happening due to a combination of good government policies and talented Indian entrepreneurs and workers. He mentioned that the IMF and World Bank have projected India as the third-largest economy in the world after America and China within the next few years.

Singh highlighted that there has been a significant transformation in the real estate sector, with most old builders facing issues such as jail time or bankruptcy. In contrast, DLF has maintained its reputation by being compliant with RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) law.

Regarding urban infrastructure, Singh emphasized the need for long-term planning and proposed drastic measures to correct the current problems. He called for replacing "myopic thinking" with a longer-term approach and creating surplus to improve sustainable urban infrastructure planning.

Singh also discussed sustainable green building practices in real estate, stating that it is the way forward for progress. He credited the government for their efforts in incentivizing green buildings, saying that progressive developers will adopt such practices.

When advising young entrepreneurs looking to make a mark in real estate, Singh emphasized the importance of 100% compliance with regulations, paying taxes on time, and being testable by the market. Above all, he stressed the significance of ethics and moral values as cornerstones for business philosophy.

Singh highlighted his biggest achievement as winning over farmers' confidence to purchase land in excess of 1000 acres. He attributed this success to paying for land on a payable basis and taking 10-12 years to show his confidence to them.

The views expressed by KP Singh are reflective of the rapidly changing landscape of India and its influence on the global stage.
