'November Rain 2024': Saintgits College of Engineering Hosts Exciting Competitions for School Students

KOTTAYAM: February 15, 2025 - The annual event 'November Rain 2024', organized by the students of Saintgits College of Engineering Kottayam in collaboration with members of Kottayam Round Table #79 and Ladies Circle #48, has come to a close. The event saw participation from over hundreds of school students who gathered at the college campus for an array of exciting competitions.

The inaugural event of 'November Rain 2024' was held on November 1st and featured an impressive lineup of JAM (Just A Minute), Spelling Bee, and a Quiz contest that drew enthusiastic response from contestants.

Among the winners, Johan B. Philip from Believers Church Residential School, Thiruvalla, was declared the champion in the Spelling Bee competition, followed by S Nandakishor from Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, who won top spot in the JAM competition.

The quiz competition, meanwhile, saw Kiran Thomas Tison and R Nakul from Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, emerge as the dominant duo. They showcased exceptional knowledge of various subjects, leaving other contestants in awe.

Although the event was primarily a platform for school students to demonstrate their talents and get exposure to academic and co-curricular challenges, it also provided an opportunity for participants to explore the state-of-the-art facilities on campus, including 3D Printing Lab, FAB Lab, projects like E-Baja and M-Baja.

The Saintgits College of Engineering Kottayam took this initiative as part of its ongoing efforts to engage with the local educational community and promote the idea that education should be an active catalyst for development.
