NORMAN POWELL Ruled Out of Clippers' Upcoming Games due to Hamstring Injury

Los Angeles, CA - Los Angeles Clippers leading scorer Norman Powell is set to miss two consecutive games, including Friday's home clash against the Sacramento Kings, after suffering a hamstring injury during Monday night's win over the Golden State Warriors.

In an update on Wednesday, Clippers coach Tyronn Lue confirmed that Powell will be sidelined for both of his expected appearances. The 26-year-old forward had previously played only 26 minutes in Monday's game, a significant reduction from his usual minutes, after returning from injury in the second half.

Powell, who is averaging a career-best and team-leading 23.3 points, has been a key contributor to the Clippers' success this season. Notably, over the past five games (from October 26 to November 11), Powell scored an impressive 20 points in ten consecutive outings, with his scoring average reaching 26.9 per game during that span.

The injury news is particularly concerning for the Clippers, who have struggled without their other star player, Kawhi Leonard, who has missed several games due to ongoing knee issues.
