Noida to Host Olympic Sports Park as Part of YEIDA's Master Plan 2041
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced plans to build a significant Olympic Sports Park in Noida, as part of its ambitious Master Plan 2041.
According to sources, the administration has begun preparations for the construction of the Olympic Park, which will be built in Sector 22F and Sector 23B. The sports park is expected to accommodate all types of games and host various international events, including the Olympic Games.
The authority plans to acquire land from 131 villages in Gautam Buddha Nagar and 95 villages in Bulandshahr, with a total area of 52.4 hectares allocated for the project. Luxury accommodations will also be built nearby for athletes, while similar facilities will be provided for sports enthusiasts.
To ensure that India is prepared to host international events like the Olympic Games in the future, YEIDA has proposed establishing an Olympic City within its YIDA City, which is being developed with state-of-the-art infrastructure. This move aims to address the current resource constraints and provide a world-class venue for hosting major events.
As part of the Master Plan 2041, 5,000 flats will be constructed in the Olympic Village, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments. These accommodations are planned to be designated for athletes, officials, and other individuals attending international events.
The approval for the Master Plan has been recently received from the state cabinet in December, signaling a significant step forward in YEIDA's development plans for Noida.
