A recent study has revealed that workers who follow non-standard schedules, including night shifts, are at a higher risk of developing metabolic disorders, sleep disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular disease, and even cancer.

Research by the National Cancer Institute has found a significant link between long-term night shift work and increased risk of death from all causes and cardiovascular disease in women.
