New Delhi, [Date]: The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium was abuzz with energy and sportsmanship as it hosted the 73rd All India Police Athletic Cluster Championship on Sunday. The event saw the participation of 1,123 police personnel from 25 states, four union territories, and 10 Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), coming together for a display of athletic talent and camaraderie.

The championship was inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, who emphasized the vital role that sports play in the lives of police personnel. "Engaging in sports not only enhances physical fitness but also fosters a spirit of teamwork and discipline, which are crucial in our line of duty," LG Saxena remarked during the opening ceremony.

The competition featured a total of 45 athletic events alongside seven cycling events, with athletes vying for top honors. Among the highlights, UP Police's Prince Kumar and Ujala clinched gold medals in the 10km run for men and women, respectively, showcasing exceptional endurance and skill.
