New Delhi Hosts 73rd All India Police Athletic Championship

New Delhi, [Date] - The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi was the venue for the 73rd All India Police Athletic Cluster Championship on Sunday, which saw participation from 1,123 police personnel across 25 states, four union territories, and ten Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

The championship, inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, featured athletes competing in 45 athletic and seven cycling events. Saxena highlighted the significance of sports in enhancing the physical and mental well-being of police personnel, emphasizing how such events foster unity and discipline among the forces.

The highlight of the opening day was the 10km run where Uttar Pradesh Police's Prince Kumar and Ujala clinched gold medals in the male and female categories respectively.

"This championship is not just about athletic excellence; it's about building camaraderie, promoting teamwork, and reinforcing the discipline that is crucial for our personnel," commented an official involved in the organization.
