Nation Honours Brave Indian Soldiers on 77th Army Day

New Delhi, (Alayaran.com): Today, India celebrated its 77th Army Day with great fervour, paying tribute to the valiant soldiers of the Indian Army who have dedicated their lives to protecting the nation's sovereignty and integrity.

In a ceremony led by President Droupadi Murmu and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, tributes were paid to the Army's crucial role in ensuring national security and participating in peacekeeping missions globally. The President lauded the courage, professionalism, and dedication of Indian soldiers, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to protecting the nation's sovereignty and making significant contributions to international peacekeeping efforts.

The theme for this year's Army Day celebrations is "Samarth Bharat, Saksham Sena" (Capable India, Competent Army), reflecting the Army's focus on modernization, inclusivity, and public engagement. The main event featured a grand parade showcasing the Army's prowess and the latest advancements in military technology.

The ceremony also included a visit to the National War Memorial, where senior military officers including Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan,Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, and Vice Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sujeet Pushpakar Dharkar paid homage to the brave soldiers who have laid down their lives for the nation.
