Mysterious Illness claiming Lives in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri; Government Imposes Strict Measures

In a shocking turn of events, seventeen people, including four grown-ups and thirteen minors from three families, have succumbed to an unidentified disease in the Badhaal village of Kotranka district in Jammu and Kashmir. The victims all belonged to Mohammad Fazal, Mohammad Aslam, and Mohammad Rafiq families.

The calamity took place within a span of just one-and-half months, leaving authorities stunned. Due to the grim circumstances, doctors & paramedics on duty at Rajouri's Government Medical College have been temporarily suspended. An emergency was declared in the region following eight reported fatalities after January 11th

A three-member central team along with Police have launched separate investigations into the case as well as one more probe has been started by another special body to examine toxins (harmful substances) which were supposed to cause the mass deaths, officials revealed.

Dr Amarjeet Singh Bhatia, GMC Rajouri Principal reported that prohibitive orders have also been implemented banning all public & private gatherings in Badhaal village in light of the ongoing medical alert situation. As a result, Winter vacations have also been canceled to ensure adequate healthcare.

To provide support for their struggling local Medical facility, ten new medical trainees were recruited and deployed across GMC Rajouri, according to sources.

Additionally, approximately two hundred people – relations & family members of deceased persons, who had fallen ill with similar conditions have currently been shifted as an isolation zone amid widespread speculations pertaining to the disease origin

Badhaal village has now been declared under Containment in case authorities do identify poisonous substances. Recently it was also declared that a group with 11 Member Team will work on investigating those chemicals by taking a series of tests
