MUMBAI: IFFI Introduces IFFIESTA for 2024 Edition
The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is gearing up to launch IFFIESTA, a new segment aimed at celebrating the fusion of film, food, art, and culture. This entertainment extravaganza will take place at the scenic Kala Academy in Panjim, Goa, coinciding with the main festival from November 21 to 28, 2024.
IFFIESTA promises to be a cultural hub where attendees can immerse themselves in India's rich cultural tapestry. The event will feature performances by 11 traditional dance groups, each representing a unique aspect of India’s diverse heritage.
Food lovers will not be left out, with a dedicated food zone offering culinary delights from 15-20 of India's top local and national eateries, providing a gastronomic journey through the country’s varied cuisines.
In a nod to the intersection of film and fashion, IFFIESTA, in collaboration with the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), will host a fashion show. This event will celebrate six decades of Indian cinema by showcasing designs inspired by iconic films.
Moreover, the festival will include an immersive audio-visual experience from the National Museum of Indian Cinema, offering insights into the evolution of Indian film from its inception to the present day.
For those eager to meet their favorite stars, the Zomato District Entertainment Arena will be the place to be. Here, fans can participate in meet-and-greets, Q&A sessions, and engage with celebrities on social media platforms.
The arena will also come alive with daily live entertainment, featuring everything from music concerts, DJ sets to stand-up comedy, ensuring there's something for every festival-goer.
IFFIESTA aims to enhance the festival experience by fostering community engagement through a vibrant mix of cultural and entertainment activities, making it a must-visit event for both cinephiles and culture enthusiasts.
