Multiple Casualties Reported as Russian Missile and Drone Attack Hits Ukrainian City
A devastating strike on a nine-story building in Sumy, Ukraine killed at least eight people and left dozens more injured, according to Ukrainian authorities. The attack, which was described by officials as the largest in recent months, targeted the city of Sumy, located approximately 24 miles from the Russian border.
According to Ihor Klymenko, Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs, two children were among those who lost their lives in the strike. Furthermore, more than 400 people managed to evacuate the area before the building was hit.
