Monsters Shatter Records with Historic TV Plan for 2024-25 Season
Cleveland, OH - The Cleveland Monsters are set to make history once again as they unveil a revolutionary broadcast plan for the upcoming 2024-25 season. In a move that surpassed expectations, the team announced today that it will televise an unprecedented 22 regular-season home games, making them the first professional hockey team in Ohio to do so.
This bold decision is a significant departure from last season's tally of eight telecasts, with each of the new 14 additional games airing exclusively on Rock Entertainment Sports Network. What's more, eight of these broadcasts will also air simulcast on CW 43 WUAB, bringing hockey fans across Northern Ohio an unmissable opportunity to witness the Monsters in action.
Fans who tune in will enjoy commentary from a stellar cast of experts, including:
Tony Brown, the team's "Voice of the Monsters" and recipient of the prestigious 2020-21 James H. Ellery Memorial Award Jock Callander, the Monsters' Sr. VP of Operations/Team Services and an IHL all-time leading scorer with a Stanley Cup win to his name Brad Thiessen, a former Monsters goaltender and current Columbus Blue Jackets Goaltending Development Coach
According to team officials, this partnership with Rock Entertainment Sports Network marks the beginning of a new era for Monsters broadcasts. With CW 43 WUAB on board, hockey fans across Northeast Ohio will now have unparalleled access to the team's games.
"We're thrilled to bring more hockey to our state and thank Rock Entertainment Sports Network and CW 43 WUAB for their partnership," said a Monsters spokesperson. "This new level of coverage is a testament to the passion and energy surrounding Monster Nation – our fans are the driving force behind this success."
