MINISTER OF HEALTH ENGAGES WITH MON DISTRICT HOSPITAL: GOVERNMENT TAKES STEPS TO FILL SHORTCASES IN MEDICAL DOCTORS

Nagaland (Alayaran.com News)- The Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Paiwang Konyak, recently visited the District Hospital Mon on 23rd November 2024, bringing to light a long-standing concern regarding medical infrastructure in the state.

During his visit, the minister extended gratitude to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), doctors, and hospital staff for their dedication and warm reception. He also commended the presence of civil societies, district administration led by ADC, for their co-operation.

The Minister emphasized that his trip was not merely an ordinary official tour but a purpose-driven assessment to uncover shortcomings within the department on the issue of infrastructure development in the hospital.

Regarding the scarcity of medical professionals, especially specialists, he disclosed that the government is striving to fill the vacant spots. "We are working diligently to address this shortage," stated the minister.

Furthermore, his main objective during the visit was to oversee Food Safety and Drugs Control within the district. He also appealed to civil societies to collaborate in ensuring public welfare.

It is worth mentioning that the Minister released the Quarterly Access, Issue-1 (July 2024 - September 2024), of Mon District Hospital, Nagaland's Department of Health & Family Welfare.

A delegation from the health department accompanied the minister, comprising Commissioner & Secretary and senior doctors.
