Mohammed Sharif Ul Islam Shehzad, alias Das, 30, was arrested in Thane after an extensive manhunt, and the police have stated that they will re-investigate the case with sections under the Passport Act and Foreigners Act.

According to sources, Das lacks valid Indian documents, leading police to suspect his nationality. The Bandra police have confirmed that they would be including sections under the relevant laws in the case to pursue further investigation.
