Massive Russian Drone and Missile Attack Hits Ukrainian City, Kills Eight and Injures Dozens

Kyiv, Ukraine - A devastating series of drone and missile strikes by Russia hit a nine-story building in the city of Sumy, northern Ukraine on Sunday, leaving at least eight people dead and dozens injured.

According to Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, among those killed were two children who were 40 kilometers (24 miles) from the border with Russia. More than 400 people, including those trapped in the damaged building, underwent emergency evacuations as rescue teams rushed to the scene.

Eyewitnesses reported that rescuers are conducting a thorough search of every apartment in the building to ensure no one is left unaccounted for due to the extensive damage caused by the Russian attack. The attack, described as the largest in recent months, has sent shockwaves throughout Ukraine and raised concerns about the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukrainian forces.
