Massive Fire Breaks Out in Scrap Shop in Mumbai's Kurla

A massive fire erupted at a scrap shop in Mumbai's Kurla, leaving a trail of destruction and chaos in its wake. The fire broke out around 4:20 pm at the scrap shop located near the Equinox building, opposite the scrap market in Kurla West.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing loud explosions and seeing massive flames engulfing the shop, prompting an immediate response from the Mumbai Fire Brigade.

According to a fire brigade official, the blaze has been classified as a level 2 (major) fire. A large firefighting team, including eight fire engines, water tankers, and other support vehicles, was deployed to the scene to manage the situation and prevent further damage.

"We are working hard to contain the fire and bring it under control," said the official. "The presence of scrap materials in the shop has likely contributed to the rapid spread of the fire."

Firefighters at the scene worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames, which were confined to the scrap shop. However, the situation remained precarious as emergency responders sought to assess the damage and ensure public safety.

In response to the emergency, civic officials cordoned off the area to prevent any further risks. The Mumbai Fire Brigade continued to work through the night to bring the fire under control.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, but investigations are underway to determine the exact origin of the blaze.
