MARKS & Spencer Hints at Ransomware Attack That Exposed Personal Customer Data

Britain's high-street retailer Marks and Spencer (M&S) has revealed that personal customer information was taken in a cyber attack that crippled its online operations, leaving thousands of customers without access to fresh new season ranges.

The British retail giant stopped taking online orders on April 25th, following Easter weekend issues with orders, resulting in a 15% slump in the share price.

Although M&S claims neither accessible payment nor login information was stolen, its statement urged caution and confirmed its commitment to informing affected customers of the situation.
