MARESCA EXPLICates OMISSIONS IN CHELSEA TEAM

Chelsea's head coach Enzo Maresca has hinted at possible departures of Ben Chilwell and Cesare Casadei from the club, amidst uncertainty surrounding their futures.

In a press conference earlier today, Maresca revealed that Chilwell will not feature in tomorrow's FA Cup tie against Morecambe due to injury concerns. "Chilwell is thinking he might leave soon," Maresca stated. "To avoid any injuries, we decided it was better for him if he didn't play."

For Casadei, who has yet to find minutes with the team despite demonstrating his skills in the UEFA Conference League, Maresca also ruled out a start against Morecambe. While there is no confirmation on whether the player will leave permanently or on loan, Maresca assured that Casadei's inability to secure playing time was not due to any deficiency.
