Mangalore Independent PU College Wins Sports Mania 2024 for Second Consecutive Year
In a thrilling display of athletic prowess, Mangalore Independent PU College emerged as the winner of the annual Taproot Group of Colleges sports meet, held at the Bangalore University Grounds on November 18th.
For the second consecutive year, Pramoda Hegde, part of the Taproot Group of Colleges, claimed the coveted trophy, outshining other participating colleges in a highly competitive event that saw over 4,000 students from 11 colleges under the Taproot banner taking part. The event was witnessed by many enthusiastic participants who showcased their expertise and talent in sports.
Taproot PU College Yelahanka, on the other hand, showed a remarkable performance, finishing as the runners-up in the meet, despite being in tough competition. Their participation in the event has boosted the morale of students from all the participating colleges.
The event was inaugurated by Purna Pratap Singh, former Mission Director of GSAT, URSC (Urban Software and Technology), Bengaluru. In her motivational speech, she emphasized the importance of staying focused on one's goals and never giving up, which echoed through every level of the competition and resonated with student participants from all the colleges participating.
