Macao Marks 25th Anniversary: 'Country Support Enables Region to Thrive'

As the People's Republic of China continues to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to the motherland, prominent figures in the special administrative region are reflecting on its significant milestone and offering insights into the city's continued prosperity.

"The nation's support has enabled the Macao SAR to serve as a hub for trade, investment, and cultural interactions between China and Portuguese-speaking communities," said Francisco Leandro, Associate Professor of Social Science at the University of Macau. Leandro attributes Macao's development over the past 25 years to the support of China.
