Local Journalist Lucas Kihmm Joins WKOW 27's Team with Ambition to Share Madison Stories
Chicagoland native and recent Loyola University Chicago graduate, Lucas Kihmm, has joined the 27 News team as a reporter. Kihmm officially commenced his tenure in July 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience in multimedia journalism.
During his time at Loyola University Chicago, Kihmm graduated with honors, earning a Magna Cum Laude degree in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Spanish Language. His academic achievements were highlighted by winning the prestigious "School of Communication: Multimedia Journalism Student of the Year" award in 2023 and taking home the "Crystal Pillar Award" for Talent Category at the 65th NATAS (National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences) Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards.
"I am thrilled to bring my passion for storytelling to the Madison community," said Lucas Kihmm. As a member of the WKOW 27 News team, Kihmm is eager to share engaging stories that capture the spirit and diversity of the area.
