Maini has been arrested by the police in connection with the incident and is currently being detained after a thorough search of his vehicle.

Following the incident, the local authorities registered a case against Maini under Section 279 of the Motor Vehicles Act (rash driving) and Section 337 of the Indian Penal Code (causing hurt by endangering life). The victims are undergoing medical treatment at nearby hospitals, with two people in critical condition.
