Lawyer Rams Mercedes Car into Kachori Shop, Injures Six in New Delhi
In a shocking incident, six people were injured when a speeding Mercedes car was rammed into a Kachori shop at Fateh Kachori in Civil Lines area of the national capital. The victim who suffered injuries has been identified as shop owner and other passersby.
According to eyewitnesses, a man in his mid-40s, identified as Parag Maini, a resident of Noida's Sector 79, drove his car into the shop while allegedly talking on phone. "The incident occurred when people were eating at the counter and suddenly the Mercedes car came into view without any notice," said a local.
Six injured persons were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Fateh Kachori accident has caused widespread shock among locals who are still trying to come to terms with the horrific incident.
Delhi Police have arrested Maini and seized his car, which is registered in his name. The official spokesperson of DCP South-West said that a case under section 79 (Rash and Negligent Act) as well as Section 37 A (Causing hurt by rash and negligent act) & 34 (Knowing or aware intention to cause hurt) of IPC has been registered against Parag Maini.
A search operation is underway and more details are expected to come soon.
