Lawyer Rams Mercedes Car into Kachori Shop in Delhi, Six Injured
In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the capital's residents, six people were injured when a speeding Mercedes car rammed into a popular Kachori shop at Fateh Kachori in Civil Lines area, Delhi. The victimised pedestrians are reported to be in a stable condition.
According to eyewitnesses, the lawyer, identified as Parag Maini from Noida's Sector 79, was driving recklessly on the road when he lost control of his car and collided with the Kachori shop. The force of impact left several people injured and the shop in ruins.
The police have taken Mr. Maini into custody and confiscated his vehicle, a Mercedes car. Further investigation is underway to determine fault or negligence on part of the driver.
Action has also been taken against Mr. Maini under Section 279 (rash driving) and 337 (causing hurt by endangering life) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
