LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX SECURES TWO-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION, WILL REMAIN ON F1 CALENDAR UNTIL 2027

Las Vegas, USA - In a move that will delight Formula One fans, the Las Vegas Grand Prix has secured a two-year contract extension with Formula One (F1), ensuring the iconic Strip circuit will remain on the calendar until 2027.
The news came as a positive surprise for the organizers, who had already made headlines by revealing their inclusion in the 2026 F1 calendar earlier this week. Las Vegas was initially added to the schedule in 2023 on a three-year contract and received strong backing from casino partners and a decade-long approval from Clark County authorities.
"We aim to continue evolving our efforts, targeting a much longer-term arrangement," said Emily Prazer, president of the Las Vegas Grand Prix and chief commercial officer of F1. "Although the race has encountered challenges, we are overcoming them and want to ensure ongoing mutual success."
In contrast to its inaugural event in 2023, which faced logistical hurdles such as high ticket and hotel prices, and a technical issue that forced a lengthy track inspection delay, this year's event was hailed as one of the best on the F1 calendar.
Last year's Las Vegas Grand Prix proved to be a resounding success, featuring some of the sport's biggest stars competing in sweltering conditions. Despite initial difficulties, the event demonstrated its ability to deliver thrilling racing and an electrifying atmosphere for fans. With this extension, it is clear that the event has found a winning formula.
