Kylie Minogue Announces plans to Perform Iconic Bollywood Song 'Chiggy Wiggy' in India
Mumbai, India - International pop sensation Kylie Minogue recently released her 17th album, Tension II, and the singer has expressed her excitement about collaborating with Indian music maestros in the past. Her collaboration with Grammy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman on the 2009 film Blue is still remembered fondly by fans, particularly for the hit song 'Chiggy Wiggy', which remains a fan favourite even after 15 years.
In an exclusive interview with The Times of India, Kylie shared her connection with Mumbai and hinted at performing 'Chiggy Wiggy' live in India - a wish that has been brewing inside her. "One day I will perform Chiggy Wiggy in India, that's my mission," she said, sparking excitement among Bollywood fans.
Kylie also expressed her admiration for young Indian artists and urged them to stay true to themselves while collaborating with other musicians. However, when asked about potential collaborators from the current crop of artistes, the singer left the gates open, saying there were many talents she'd love to work with but couldn't name one.
The singer also fondly recalled her time in Mumbai, sharing memories of Akshay Kumar inviting her for lunch and dance rehearsals with choreographer Farah Khan. "Maybe Akshay will invite me for lunch again," said Kylie, fueling speculation about a possible reunion.
