KTM Revives its Heritage: The all-New 1390 Super Duke R Lands in India

Mumbai, [Date] - In celebration of Children's Day, KTM has brought back its iconic big bikes, including the mighty 1390 Super Duke R. Launched globally last year, this flagship hyper-naked sport bike is finally hitting Indian roads at a price tag of ₹22.96 lakh.

The updated version boasts a powerful V-twin engine displacing 1,350 cc, producing an impressive 190 bhp and 145 Nm, surpassing its predecessor's figures by 10 and 5 bhp respectively. Additionally, the bike features advanced technology such as KTM's new "cam shift" system, variable valve timing mechanisms in the cylinder heads.

Underpinned by a robust trellis chassis frame, the 1390 Super Duke R is anchored by a state-of-the-art WP Apex fork featuring adjustable compression, rebound, and preload options. The braking system has also been upgraded with Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers clamping on dual-320 mm discs.

KTM's design team has revisited its iconic designs, crafting the 1390 Super Duke R to strike a bold new tone, thanks to radical elements such as a vertically stacked LED headlight and tank spoiler with integrated winglets. From behind, the bike exudes an aggressive look.

The 1390 Super Duke R comes loaded with tech features, including KTM Ride Assist functionalities like ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, tyre pressure monitoring, and ride modes such as Performance, Track, Rain, Street, and Sport – all on standard spec. Additionally, key updates include cruise control, Engine Brake Control, and an adjustable five-step wheelie control function available as options.

Priced at ₹22.96 lakh, KTM's latest offering brings with it a lot of meat and not much fat, making for more aggressive looking but no less impressive performance.
