Koinonia Baptist Church Ends 2024 with a Bang as Annual Sports Meet Wraps Up Across Kohima

KOHIMA, December 24-26, 2024 - The Koinonia Baptist Church successfully concluded its Annual Sports Meet 2024 at various venues across Kohima. The three-day event that kicked off on December 16 and wrapped up on January 2, was a spectacular celebration of sportsmanship, community spirit, and fellowship.

According to an update by the Koinonia Media Ministry, over 20 teams participated in multiple sporting events, including futsal, cricket, volleyball, football, badminton, and chess. The Women's Silver Jubilee Trophy, sponsored by Api Rülho, was contested by 12 men's futsal teams to commemorate the 25th Silver Jubilee of the Women's Department.

In a thrilling show of skill and teamwork, various runners-up emerged in each of the sporting events, while champions took home coveted titles and prizes. Jr. CYE secured victories in multiple categories including REV. DR. ZOTUO TROPHY, Penalty Shootout (Women), FOOTBALL (WOMEN), Men's Singles Badminton, Women's Singles Badminton, Women's Doubles Badminton, Open Category Chess.

The event was organized by the Koinonia Baptist Church Youth Department and witnessed participation from teams spanning multiple districts of Nagaland. The sports meet aimed to promote a culture of unity, teamwork, and inter-denominational camaraderie among participants.

Organizers expressed gratitude for the support received during the event and looked forward to next year's installment of the Annual Sports Meet 2025, which is scheduled to take place soon in Kohima.
