Kohli Hangs Up His Test Gloves after 14 Years

Virat Kohli is hanging up his bat and ball as the veteran Indian cricketer has announced his retirement from Test cricket, bringing an end to a remarkable 14-year career in the longest format of the game.

As one of the most iconic batsmen in international cricket, Kohli's decision marks the end of an era for India's national team. However, his country has plenty going on as they gear up for their upcoming ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia.

South Africa have named a 15-player squad to take on the Australians at Lord's Cricket Ground in London from June 11-15. With fast bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Dane Paterson as part of their pace attack, along with all-rounders Marco Jansen and Wiaan Mulder, the Proteas are looking to bounce back after a promising run in the World Test Championship campaign.

In addition to these bowlers, South Africa have also included spinners Keshav Maharaj and Senuran Muthusamy as part of their bowling department. The batting unit boasts names like Aiden Markram, Tony de Zorzi, Ryan Rickelton, Tristan Stubbs, and David Bedingham, with Kyle Verreynne serving as the designated wicketkeeper.

South Africa's head coach Shukri Conrad is proud to announce his 15-player squad for the tournament, praising the team's progress over the past 18 months. The coach also welcomed the return of Lungi Ngidi, who returns to the squad after a spell since last October.

The Proteas will begin their preparations on May 31 in Arundel, where they shall play a warm-up match against Zimbabwe before leaving for London.
