Key Dates Loom in November Amidst Global Awareness Campaigns and National Celebrations

The second last month of the year, November, is brimming with a diverse array of significant days, observances, and national and international events that showcase social, environmental, and cultural issues.

For the third consecutive year, the world will observe World Pneumonia Day on November 12 as it aims to raise awareness about this deadly disease. This day serves as an opportunity for people across the globe to learn more about how pneumonia is caused, diagnosed, treated, and prevented.

On the same day, the Third Sunday in November marks World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. The purpose of observing this observance is to honor those who lost their lives due to road accidents. Also, on this day, International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict will be observed.

November 5 finds itself commemorating World Tsunami Awareness Day as the world prepares for another year's tsunami warnings and evacuation drills. The observance is held annually to raise awareness about tsunamis and their associated dangers.

In yet another effort to educate the masses about violence, November 25 finds 'International Day of Elimination Violence Against women.' Founded by the United Nations General Assembly in 1993.
