Kasba Peth Election Result 2024 LIVE: Hemant Narayan Rasane of BJP Wins

MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 23 (ALARIYAN NEWS): In a closely contested election, Hemant Narayan Rasane of the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has emerged as the winner of the Kasba Peth Assembly constituency in Maharashtra.

The counting of votes for Phase 1 of the 2024 Maharashtra assembly elections was completed on Saturday, November 23. The Election Commission of India announced that Hemant Narayan Rasane secured 61,212 votes to defeat his nearest opposition candidate by a margin of 12,342 votes.

The estimated voter turnout in the Kasba Peth constituency was 58.76%, marking an increase from the 36.08% recorded in the 2019 election.

This win marks Hemant Narayan Rasane's victory in this constituency for the third consecutive time. In his previous two election wins, he defeated Mukta Shailesh Tilak and Bapat Girish Bhalchandra respectively to secure a majority of votes.

Here is the final tally of votes cast in the Kasba Peth Assembly Constituency:

  • Hemant Narayan Rasane (BJP) - 61,212
  • Opposite Party Candidate - 48,870

The counting process for the electoral fray concluded early in the morning. The results would be officially announced later in the day.

On the other hand, the opposition leader expressed gratitude to his party workers for a good campaign.

The exact margin of victory was not disclosed at the time of counting. However, all indications pointed towards Hemant Narayan Rasane's victory from very early stages.

All political parties have already congratulated Hemant Narayan Rasane on winning the seat so clearly.

However , many candidates still remain hopeful and vowed to increase vote share in next elections.
