Kanguva Advance Booking Collection Surpasses Rs 2.2 Crore in Just Hours

Mumbai, November 12, 2024: A day after its advance bookings began, the epic fantasy film 'Kanguva', starring Suriya, Bobby Deol, and Disha Patani, has already collected a substantial amount of money at the box office.

According to sources, the movie's 2D Tamil version made Rs 42.75 lakh, while its 3D version raked in over Rs 1 crore during the first day of advance sales.

The website also reports that the movie has grossed Rs 5.27 crore in India when seats are blocked for 'banned' people. Without such restrictions, the movie collected a respectable Rs 2.2 crore in just hours.

Interestingly, Kanguva's advance bookings have already surpassed those of Suriya's previous film, Etharkkum Thunindhavan, which had a gross of Rs 4.35 crore, considering the short duration of advance sales for both movies.

The movie will be released on November 14 in theaters worldwide and is expected to witness high competition from other popular films.

In the movie, Suriya plays two roles: the title character Kanguva and Francis Theodore. Disha Patani portrays Francis' romantic interest Angelina, while Bobby Deol portrays a warrior named Udhiran.

Industry insiders note that box office returns for 'Kanguva' will be closely watched to see if they outdo other successful movies currently running in theaters, including the recent film Amaran starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi.
