Kajol's Kids React to Her Horror Debut: A New Era in the Actress' Career?

In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Kajol has revealed that her children, Yug and Nysa, have a strong opinion about their mother's decision to take on a horror role in her upcoming film 'Maa'. The actress, known for her emotional depth and comic timing, is stepping into the genre for the first time and judging by the trailer, it's intense.
According to Kajol, her 14-year-old son Yug and 22-year-old daughter Nysa have expressed their disapproval of her choice of roles. They told Kajol that they can't watch her crying on screen and want her to do films that only make them laugh, like her husband Shah Rukh Khan's buddy comedy series 'Golmaal'. Kajol jokingly responded, "They don't want me to cry, and I've used enough glycerine in my career to last a lifetime!"
This is not the first time that Kajol has taken on a motherly role. She previously played a helicopter parent in her 2015 film 'Helicopter Eela' and reflected on her own parenting style by saying that she is "much calmer and cooler" than when she was younger.
In another shocking revelation, Kajol shared that her own mother, veteran actress Tanuja, had a much stricter parenting style. Kajol compared her mother to a multigenerational household where there were multiple people in charge, whereas she comes from a more relaxed and loving background.
'Papa', or Shah Rukh Khan, will be joining the cast of 'Maa', alongside Ronit Roy and Indraneil Sengupta. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film is set to hit theaters on June 27. Will Kajol's new horror venture win over her children? Only time will tell!
'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' to 'Baazigar', Kajol has ruled hearts for over three decades with her unforgettable performances and charm. With this new film, Kajol is set to show a different side of her talent – horror. Whether it's a hit or not, one thing's for sure – the excitement around Kajol's career is always palpable.
