KAILASH GAHLOT QUITS AAP After Feeling Snubbed; Former CM's Shocking Reason Behind His Decision to Join BJP Will Leave You Speechless

New Delhi, November 18, 2024: Kailash Gahlot, a five-time MLA and former cabinet minister of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has unexpectedly quit the party. The news of his departure comes as a shock, given that just last week AAP's "newcomer" Atishi took the reins as Delhi Chief Minister.

The 50-year-old Gahlot had been one of the most senior leaders in terms of age after top three cabinet ministers were arrested and resigned. Despite being one of the youngest seniors, Gahlot was expected to hold more power and responsibilities post the reshuffle. However, he was left with just law, justice, and legislative affairs as his portfolios.

Sources close to Gahlot tell us that he felt snubbed when he was not given a prominent position after AAP's top leadership went into custody, forcing him to quit the party, not just on a whim but because the centre agencies were pressurising him and Atishi has been chosen to hoist the national flag at Independence Day event which is against protocol.

Interestingly, L-G VK Saxena made it clear in August that Gahlot would be at the forefront at the events where Arvind Kejriwal was present. Meanwhile, the party's top brass was missing from various key transport-related events, even when they had walked out of jail.

Gahlot, who is known for his silence and avoiding confrontations with the Centre and L-G, made it a point to attend all events where Kejriwal was present to ensure that AAP presents itself as strong. It seems this decision alone wasn't enough to protect him in AAP.
