JKSC Directs Associations to Delineate Government Employees, Politicians Holding Office

JAMMU, December 21 - The Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) has issued a stern directive to its recognized and affiliated sports associations, ordering them to furnish detailed information about individuals holding government jobs or having political affiliations within these bodies.

In a notification Dated 20-12-2024 ,the Chief Accounts Officer of JKSC has asked for a comprehensive list of office bearers who are government employees or associated with politics. This move aims to curb the misuse of power and adhere to constitutional norms.

Under the constitution of JKSC, violations regarding rule 26(x) and jammu & Kashmir Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1971 has been highlighted in which Rule 21(1)(2). The required details include the names of these individuals along with supporting documents such as No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) from their respective departments.

The council set a deadline for submission that is December 24, 2024.
