JioStar Set to Revolutionize Media and Entertainment in India
New Delhi, [Current Date] – In a significant move, the newly formed joint venture between Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and The Walt Disney Company, JioStar, is all set to redefine the landscape of media and entertainment in India. With Nita M. Ambani as its Chairman and Uday Shankar as Vice-Chairman, the company aims to drive growth and innovation in a rapidly evolving industry.
Led by three CEOs each overseeing critical business divisions, Kevin Vaz will spearhead the entertainment business across all platforms, Kiran Mani will head the combined digital organization, and Sanjog Gupta will lead the sports division. Alok Jain has been named Head of Cluster, Entertainment, with Vivek Srivastava, Arnab Das, Rohan Lavsi, Anu Sikka, Anshul Ailawadi, Ajit Andhare, Shital Iyer, and Prachi Sahay reporting to him.
Under Mantra's leadership, Deepak Chhabria will head Star Plus and Star Utsav, Harsh Sheth will lead the Star Bharat channel business, while Koustuvi Ghosh will lead the Star Jalsha business. Meanwhile, Sumanta Bose has been appointed as Head of Cluster, Entertainment (Star Plus and Bharat), with Vivek Modi, Vipul Nagar, Satish Rajwade, Pratap Parimi, Arnab Deb, and other executives in his team.
JioStar's South Cluster will be led by Krishnan Kutty, with Sushma Rajesh, Balachandran R, Raghava Vaidyula, Kishan Kumar, Himabindu Chitta, and Prachi Mohapatra reporting to him. Ajit Varghese has been named Head of Revenue, Entertainment & International.
In a related development, Piyush Goyal has been named Head of TV Distribution, with Summit Grover, Amit Shah, Bindu Nair, and other executives in his team.
