Jamshedpur Youth Embodies Spirit of Sportsmanship as 'NavYuvam 2024' Fosters Skills and Teamwork

In a thrilling finale on November 22, the two-day youth skill sports fest 'NavYuvam 2024', organized at NTTF RD Tata Technical Institute in Golmuri, came to an end with immense success. Over the course of two days, over 50 schools from across the city participated in sports events and project exhibitions aimed at harnessing youthful prowess.

With the presence of WO Hari Singh, an Indian Air Force officer, as the chief guest, who emphasized on the transformative power of sports, the event attracted a massive array of participants. Principal Preeta John also attended the occasion to underline the significance of teamwork, leadership, and perseverance.

The football tournament gave fans cause for cheer as Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya emerged victorious in the thrilling penalty shootout against BPM School of Excellence, Burmamines, in an edgy scoreline of 4-2. The girls' singles badminton match witnessed a nail-biting contest between Shruti from Kashidih High School and Ganesh Kumar from Utkal Samaj Inter College, with Ganesh Kumar triumphing over the young contender, leaving her to pick up the Girls' Singles first prize badge with impressive result of 10-8.

Ganesh's victory in Boys' Singles added a new dimension to an already spectacular competition. On this day youth displayed their vibrant spirit through sports such as football, volleyball, tug-of-war, and badminton which showcased incredible teamwork and the willpower that Hari Singh pointed out during the inauguration.

The event would not have been possible without the support of Ramesh Rai, Vice Principal, along with several faculty members and staff including Shivaprasad, BP Acharya, Laxman Soren and many others who played pivotal role in successfully organizing the sports fest.
