Jammu and Kashmir Grapples with Extremely Chilly Spell as Temperature Drops to -24.21°C

Srinagar, Jan 30 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a severe cold snap on Wednesday morning, taking the mercury down to an extremely low temperature of -24.21 degrees Celsius.

The India Meteorological Department has announced that the weather forecast for the next 24 hours indicates the continued presence of a severecold spell across the region.

Meanwhile, the air quality in J&K remained on a very hazardous level with an AQI reading of 312, placing it in severe category.

The Indian government and the people of J&K have announced to remain indoors most likely till a week and advised not using of fans, ACs, all types of refrigerators.
