J&K's Top-performing Hospitals and Health Centers Ranked on Hospital Management Information System

Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir (December 1, 2024) - The Jammu and Kashmir National Health Mission (JKNHM) has released the rankings of Public Health facilities in the state on its Hospital Management Information System (JK e-Sahaj) for the month of October 2024.

Govt Medical College, Kathua has topped the list of new GMCs of Associated Hospitals of Government Medical Colleges, followed by Govt Medical College, Udhampur, Govt. Medical College Rajouri, Govt Medical College Anantnag, and Govt. Medical College Baramulla respectively. In the category of District Hospitals, District Hospital Kishtwar secured the first position, closely followed by District Hospital Shopian, District Hospital Budgam, District Hospital Samba, and District Hospital Reasi.

Community Health Centers (CHCs) in J&K also received recognition for their efforts in healthcare, with CHC Marh, Jammu ranked as the top performer, followed by CHC Pakherpora, Budgam, CHC Billawar, Kathua, CHC Batote, Ramban, and CHC Banihal, Ramban.

The ranking is based on metrics such as registration, conversion of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), patient feedback, and others. The Hospital Management Information System (JK e-Sahaj) initiative was launched on November 4th, 2022, as part of the Jashn-e-Sehat celebration for various facilities in the state.

JK e-Sahaj is an integrated system in collaboration with Rapid Assessment Systems, 104 Centralized Health Helpline, and the RCH portal of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The goal of this initiative is to streamline healthcare services and improve patient care in J&K.
