J&K Legislative Assembly to Frame Rules of Procedure in Jammu

Srinagar, Jan 04 : The Rules Committee of the J&K Legislative Assembly will convene for its second meeting in Jammu on Tuesday (January 7), with the objective of finalizing the framework for Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business for the House.

According to an official notification issued by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the 9-member panel comprising seven ruling alliance members and two BJP representatives will hold the meeting under the chairmanship of Speaker in his office chambers at the legislature complex in Jammu on Tuesday at 11:30 AM.

The panel's membership includes Mubarak Gul, Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami, Saifullah Nizam-ud-din Bhat, Pawan Kumar Gupta, Hasnain Masoodi,Ranbir Singh Pathania, and Muzaffar Iqbal Khan.

Despite holding its first meeting on January 3, the panel was affected by absentees. The absence of four members led to inconclusiveness at that time due to conflicting engagements.

This second meeting is seen as a crucial step towards shaping the rules and regulations governing the functioning of the J&K Legislative Assembly, paving the way for smoother operations.
