International Men's Day Celebrated on November 19: Promoting Healthy Masculinity and Equality

A UN-led initiative that highlights the impact on males has gained momentum, as International Men's Day is celebrated globally on November 19. The purpose of this day is multifaceted - it seeks to acknowledge the positive attributes of men, discuss challenges in their physical and mental well-being and inspire action that can change the status quo.

The concept was initiated by Dr Jerome Teelucksingh in Trinidad and Tobago, about a quarter century ago, marking an important turning point with his advocacy. Since the initiative's inception as its name might suggest, International Men's Day has been on to reach a broader audience globally spanning multiple continents.

According to experts at International Men's Day in 2024 celebrates its theme with "Men's Health Champions" being centered upon strengthening male well-being while also championing those who bring change. The theme is one of numerous initiatives that seek global change as it draws closer awareness through community and social support on key challenges related with men's health including emotional, physical and spiritual.

Four thematic sub-steps were initiated to promote overall healthy life and provide insight, into the daily struggles experienced from people around the world who suffer silently for long periods in time of mental or psychological issues that could have easily been solved, as a part of our team would be glad to explain these further according to context.
